1. Who we are
Kadam is operated by an individual based in Bengaluru, India (“we”, “us”, “our”). Kadam helps you discover nearby stores, reserve items, walk over, and earn in-app StepCoins.
2. Eligibility & accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old to use Kadam.
- You sign in with your phone number via OTP. You are responsible for keeping access to your number and device secure, and for activity under your account.
- You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date.
3. Reservations and stores
Kadam lets you reserve items at participating stores. A reservation is a soft hold (typically up to 45 minutes), not a guaranteed purchase, and may expire. Stores are independent businesses responsible for their own stock, pricing, product quality, and sale at the counter. Kadam is a discovery and coordination platform and is not the seller of store products.
4. Payments
In this version of Kadam, you pay in cash at the store counter. We do not process in-app payments and do not collect or store your card or bank details. Refunds for items purchased at a store are subject to that store’s policy and applicable law.
5. StepCoins
- StepCoins are an in-app loyalty reward with no monetary value. They are not legal tender, not a payment instrument, and cannot be exchanged for cash or withdrawn.
- StepCoins are earned and redeemed only within Kadam, according to rules we publish in-app, which we may change.
- We may adjust, expire, or revoke StepCoins obtained through error, fraud, or abuse, or when an account is closed.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Spoof location, falsify steps, or otherwise game rewards.
- Use bots, scrapers, or attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer the service.
- Infringe others’ rights or break any applicable law.
- Misuse referral or promotional programmes.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or our policies.
7. Health & fitness disclaimer
Kadam provides activity and step information for general informational purposes only. It is not medical advice. Consult a qualified professional before starting any fitness activity. You use the App and walk at your own risk.
8. Service “as is”
The App is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, or that any store, item, or price will be available.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for the acts of independent stores or third-party service providers.
10. Changes & termination
We may modify the App, these Terms, or the StepCoins programme at any time. Material changes will be notified in-app or on this page. You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time (see Account & Data Deletion).
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka shall have jurisdiction, subject to applicable law.
